Terms of Service

1. Service Description

PriceOwl is a competitor price monitoring service that tracks product prices on external websites and delivers alerts when prices change. Access to the service is provided via a subscription plan billed monthly.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date. You may not share your account with others or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

3. Payment Terms

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

By subscribing, you agree to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Prices are listed in USD and may be subject to local taxes, which Paddle calculates and remits on our behalf.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use PriceOwl only to monitor publicly accessible product pages. By using the Service, you agree to the following rules:

• Only monitor publicly accessible pages — do not use the Service to access login-protected, paywalled, or otherwise restricted content
• Comply with the terms of service and robots.txt of each website you monitor
• Do not use the Service to extract personally identifiable information (PII) about individuals
• Do not attempt to circumvent access controls, CAPTCHAs, or authentication mechanisms on monitored websites
• You are solely responsible for determining the legality of monitoring any given website in your jurisdiction

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy or for which we receive a valid legal complaint from a monitored website.

5. Intellectual Property

PriceOwl and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service and underlying software, including all intellectual property rights. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you.

You retain ownership of the URLs and data you provide. By using the Service, you grant PriceOwl a limited license to process that data solely to deliver the Service to you.

Price data extracted through the Service is for your internal business use only. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or use it as the basis of a competing data product. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. PRICE DATA MAY BE INACCURATE, DELAYED, OR UNAVAILABLE.

In no event shall PriceOwl be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees you paid to PriceOwl in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PriceOwl and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any third-party claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law, including data protection, anti-scraping, or intellectual property laws
• Your breach of a monitored website's terms of service, robots.txt, or privacy policy
• Your redistribution or resale of price data obtained through the Service

8. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing and retains your access through the end of the current billing period.

PriceOwl may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, for: violation of these Terms, receipt of a valid legal complaint from a monitored website, non-payment, or fraud.

Upon termination, your access to the Service ends immediately. Your data will be available for export for 30 days following termination, after which it will be permanently deleted.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Colombia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Colombia.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Entire Agreement & Severability

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PriceOwl regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

You may not assign your account or rights under these Terms without our written consent. PriceOwl may assign these Terms to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
